You can see little ticks on the end of each character. That's the font that's being used, the font face, and it has a certain style to it. First of all, you'll see Times New R, as in Roman. It's a one-page document so far, very plain text, and if you're wondering what is the text font and size being used, just click anywhere in the document and with the Home tab selected, check out the Font group here on the ribbon. You can close up whatever you're working on if you have the Exercise Files and open up Tech Connect0301. You can see, I'm working with a different looking document here. That's going to be the focus in this chapter, beginning with the text font, size, and attributes.
Once you've added text to your document, you may wanna go back and change its appearance to make it more visually interesting and pleasing to the eye.
